Amboseli National Park Information
Amboseli National Park stretches over 392 km ² (151 sq miles) of meadows and marshes at the foot of Mount Kilimanjaro, the highest mountain in Africa. It was a national park in 1948, and despite suffering flood in 1993, when many of the animals back, it remains one of Africa to the most famous game relubrication bleeding sites. Park residents are baboons, lions, cheetahs, black rhinos, wildebeest, hippos, gazelles, and large herds of elephants. And game ads, hiking and camping, bird watching and camel safaris are also popular and visitors can learn about the culture and lifestyle of the indigenous Maasai people through home visits and lectures. More adventurous travelers can be found on Mount Kilimanjaro with a local guide.
