Pyramids at Giza and the Sphinx Information
The pyramids of Giza are among the most famous ancient monuments in the world and the only one of the seven wonders of the ancient world. Of the three pyramids, the Pyramid of Chephren, which is sometimes referred to as the Second Pyramid, is the most famous because of its impressive size, with the base when in an area of 216 m² (2325 m²). The famous Sphinx stands before the Great Pyramid, with the body of a lion on the head of a man. It is a sound and light show every evening at Giza, which adds to the atmosphere surrounding these mysterious ancient monuments.
